The European Week for Waste Reduction Jury selects the finalists of the 2023 edition

The jury of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), consisting of 5 environmental experts, met online on 11 April and selected the finalists of the 2023 edition of the campaign. The jury shortlisted 15 creative and impactful waste reduction actions out of a total of 63 nominations identified among more than 14 000 actions. The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 18 June in Marseille. Registrations will be open soon!

  • Bli en förpackningshjälte – Europa minskar avfallet/ Become a packaging hero – Europe is reducing waste implemented by Sysav, in Malmö;
  • Reuse centre and drive for recovery “Reutilizagune” implemented by Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council;
  • Single-use free packaging day implemented by Mollet del Vallès City Council.

The finalist actions will be presented during the EWWR Awards Ceremony in Marseille on 18 June 2024! The 5 most outstanding actions, one per category, will be awarded by the EWWR jury members and will receive a creative and circular trophy! The event promises to be an exceptional occasion, bringing together coordinators, action developers, organisations and individuals passionate about contributing to waste reduction.
