Are You Paying Attention?

The initial cleaning of the sites, monitoring of their evolution, and data analysis are carried out entirely by the MARE team.
Public participation takes place mainly through Instagram and our blog, where we will share the process and the data collected. People are encouraged to comment, share our content, and even film their own surroundings, highlighting litter they have noticed by paying attention and choosing to look again. In this way, they can also become actively involved in caring for and cleaning their local environment.
We encourage people to take action themselves, tag their location, and share their own local cleanup efforts on Instagram Stories, tagging MARE so we can follow and help amplify their actions. This is another way for people to show that they are paying attention and taking responsibility for the places around them.
