AWARD COMPETITION FOR ALL GENERATIONS – MY CHALLENGE: LIVING WITH LESS

HEROES OF A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE!

We invite you to participate in the award competition “MY CHALLENGE: LIVING WITH LESS – MY DAILY LIFE WITH LESS MATERIAL CONSUMPTION,” which is part of the European Week for Waste Reduction 2026 (EWWR), where this year’s main theme is sufficiency in material use.

At Tehnopark Celje and Simbio Celje, we are aware of the importance of responsible material use and waste prevention. Therefore, with this competition, we want to encourage reflection on how much we truly need and how we can still live a quality life with less material consumption.

Our goal is to show that with small changes in our daily habits, we can do a lot – buy less, use longer, repair, reuse, borrow, or share.

The competition is open to all age groups – individuals or groups can participate!

 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

Written form:

Describe your daily life with less material consumption. What can you do?

Artistic form:

Draw, illustrate, or design a poster, comic, brochure, or digital artwork on the theme “Living with Less.”

Photo and video:

Present your idea of how you use fewer materials in daily life, reuse, repair, or share things.

Create your own way:

Prepare a diary, research, story, calculation, presentation, or other original product that shows how we can live well with less.

 

PRIZE FUND 🏆

The most original, useful, and feasible ideas will be rewarded with attractive prizes!

 

TIMELINE

Submission deadline: by November 13, 2026

 

Submission methods:

send to the Tehnopark Celje email address: marketing@tehnopark.si or

send by regular mail: Tehnopark Celje, Gubčeva ulica 1, 3000 Celje or

deliver in person to Tehnopark Celje, Gubčeva ulica 1, 3000 Celje.

Larger files can also be sent via programs such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, etc.

 

Key evaluation criterion:

Originality and usefulness of the idea of how we can live a quality life with less material consumption and integrate our actions into daily life.

Consider what you truly need. Use less. Live well. Make a difference!

FINAL EVENT OF THE COMPETITION

The final ceremony of the competition with the announcement of the winners and the presentation of their works will take place on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 12 PM at Tehnopark Celje. The awarded works will also be presented in the form of a digital exhibition.For smaller groups from kindergartens and all those who cannot attend the event on site on that day, we will ensure that you receive your prizes at your address!
