Description:
Cigarette butts are toxic waste.
Up to 1000 liters of water are poisoned by a discarded filter from a smoked cigarette.
The organisms living in the water cannot withstand the over 4,000 toxins. Insects, fish and birds are also affected, as are small children.
We are making passers-by aware of this through this information event and are also distributing pocket ashtrays.
Cigarette manufacturers currently only have to pay one kilo for the garbage to collect the filters. However, collecting filters takes a lot of time and uses a lot of unnecessary resources.
Cigarette manufacturers should have to provide pocket ashtrays free of charge to every smoker.
