This Object Shouldn’t Have Existed: Clean up and Workshop

INFO [what will be done]

Description:

Join our beach clean-up in Funchal City Center.

When: 24 November, 10:00 – 12:30

Where: Funchal, Statue of a Football Player (near cable car)

After the clean-up, we will sort the waste by material and identify individual objects. For each one, we will ask the question of the day: should this object have existed at all? Each team then chooses one object and films a short video about what it is, where it probably came from and how it could have been avoided. The videos are published as a video blog on the project webpage.

Cleaning is great but prevention is even better, so we want to focus on this year’s theme of material sufficiency.

All collected waste is handed over for proper recycling and disposal.
