EcoAction – La scuola in azione
THE WATER YOU DON’T SEE – Every Object Has a Story. Even a Water Story
INFO [what will be done]
Description:
From 23 to 30 November 2026, the courtyards of the University’s historic central building will host an educational trail featuring 13 exhibition panels combining illustrated posters, real objects and interactive questions.
How much water is needed to produce a T-shirt, a pair of jeans, a smartphone or a cup of coffee? Visitors will follow a route through familiar objects, discovering the surprising amounts of water used throughout their production processes.
Each station will invite participants to observe, guess and answer questions, encouraging them to test their knowledge, compare water footprints and reflect on the environmental impact of their everyday choices.
The exhibition connects water consumption with waste prevention, showing how extending the life of products, repairing, reusing and reducing unnecessary purchases can help conserve valuable natural resources.
By transforming the University’s courtyards into an engaging learning environment, the initiative aims to involve students, university staff and citizens in an accessible and participatory experience.
The central message is simple: wasting a product also means wasting the water and resources used to make it.
