IOPRESTO – Share More, Waste Less

IOPRESTO promotes waste prevention and the circular economy by encouraging citizens to lend and borrow pre-loved items instead of buying new ones. Our goal is to reduce unnecessary purchases, especially low-quality and single-use products, and give a second life to objects that would otherwise remain unused in cupboards, garages or cellars.

Through our digital platform, we aim to transform responsible consumption into an everyday habit, building local communities based on trust, cooperation and mutual support. We also seek to pass on to younger generations the value of sharing, as people traditionally did within their neighbourhoods.

Sharing helps reduce waste not only by extending the life of objects, but also by potentially avoiding unnecessary packaging, transport and emissions associated with new purchases. IOPRESTO also estimates and communicates the CO₂ emissions avoided through sharing, making the environmental benefits visible to users and encouraging more conscious and sustainable choices.

Through community engagement and a reward system, we aim to reduce waste, strengthen local connections and make sharing an accessible, measurable and replicable practice for a more circular society.

More people will gain access to items they need, improving their quality of life in different ways.
