Our Earth Through Bottle Caps – Giving Plastic a Second Life

The Special Lower Secondary School and Special Upper Secondary School of Aigaleo will participate in the European Week for Waste Reduction 2026 with a creative environmental awareness activity.

Students will use plastic bottle caps to create a temporary mosaic representing planet Earth. They will sort the caps by colour and arrange them on a large surface to form an image of our planet.

Through this hands-on activity, students will learn about the importance of reusing materials, reducing plastic waste and protecting the environment. All students will be encouraged to participate actively according to their abilities.

The completed artwork will be photographed and shared with our partner schools through the Eco Future eTwinning project, spreading the message of responsible consumption and waste prevention.

Our message: Give plastic a second life! Small actions can make a big difference for our planet.
