More Than Enough! – Spreading the Message of Sufficiency

Kunsill Lokali Ħ’Attard will be publishing a series of educational posts on its social media platforms throughout November 2026 as part of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) 2026. This year’s campaign theme is “Sufficiency – More Than Enough!”, and it aims to raise awareness in both Maltese and English about the importance of reducing waste, reusing resources, and making more conscious and sustainable choices in our daily lives. The posts will encourage residents to rethink unnecessary consumption, make better use of the items they already own, extend the lifespan of clothes and books, and understand how individual actions can contribute to a more sustainable community. The campaign will also promote the Council’s EWWR activities and encourage public participation in collecting and reusing gently used clothes and books. Through accessible and informative online content, this initiative aims to inspire behavioural change and foster a culture of sufficiency, responsible consumption, and waste prevention within the Ħ’Attard community.
