A Garbage Carol

As a Museum completely dedicated to environmental sustainability, awareness and education on waste production and management, our activity is aimed at involving and stimulating our public in taking action and gain new habits in everyday life. The activity begins with a digital storytelling based on famous Dickens’ novel, readapted and entitled “A Garbage Carol”. Three ghosts show how productive chains and consuming habits have impacted the environment and the waste management cycles through time and how sufficiency is better than efficiency for a green future. Afterwards, participants will be involved in a gamified scientific laboratory during which they will have to sort, hands on, different scenarios in waste production and management in their hometown.
