The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) encourages all Europeans and not only to carry out awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management during a single week in November.

A sister campaign on the Southern Mediterranean context

The Euro-Med Weeks for Waste Reduction has been launched to promote waste prevention in the Euro-Med context. For this first edition, Action developers from 8 countries (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia) are called to submit actions on Circular and Sustainable Textiles by 30 November.

Six Awards to be won

Every year, the EWWR awards the most outstanding actions during its Awards Ceremony. Discover the finalists of the 2022 edition. Join them and the EWWR coordinators at the EWWR Awards Ceremony on 1 June 2023 in Dublin! Register now!

One thematic focus every year

In 2023, the EWWR will focus on packaging. Registrations will open in September!

Driven by public authorities

Since 2009, public authorities from different countries have been supporting the campaign and making it grow year after year. Discover our history!
