Sustainability has certainly become a buzzword. So much so that, for those of us who care about it, it is more and more difficult to communicate about it in a concrete way that engages audiences.<\/p>\n

The European <\/a>Week for Waste Reduction<\/a> (EWWR) team has, since 2009, been promoting concrete actions and behaviours that contribute to reducing our environmental impact. For this webinar, we have teamed up with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to talk about strategies and techniques that work when communicating about sustainable lifestyles.<\/p>\n

Garrette Clark, Sustainable Lifestyles Programme Officer, Consumption and Production Unit at UNEP, talked about the \u201cAnatomy <\/b><\/a>of Action<\/b><\/a>\u201d, a toolkit that encourages people to contribute to SDG 12 \u2013 responsible production and consumption. The initiative suggests core actions that can be undertaken in food<\/b>, mobility<\/b>, leisure<\/b> (consumer goods and tourism) and housing<\/b>. The Anatomy of Action\u2019s assets and videos are designed for individuals and organisations educating on sustainable living, and anyone can start their own \u201cTake Action Challenge<\/a>\u201d based on these tools at any time. And what better time to take action than during the European Week for Waste Reduction?<\/p>\n

The webinar was also an occasion to discuss about the relevance of sustainability in the time of Covid-19<\/b> and to exchange views about the way forward.<\/p>\n
