Tree of Love
• WHAT will be done
Our project is called the Tree of Love as we are going to use our recycled decorations to decorate the school Christmas Tree. Our students were asked to bring as much as recycled paper as possible from home (including flyers and magazines). The whole school will be on board of the seed bombs project. Recycled paper will be first weighed, so that to have an idea of the amount of paper used. Pupils will then be torn into small pieces and left overnight in water. The day after, food colouring will be added to the papers and a blender will be used (by adults) to soften the mixture. After that, accessive water will be removed. The kids will then put the mixture in heart shaped moulds and let to dry. Before drying up completely, sunflower seeds will be put in each and every heart.
Once they dry, a string will be attached to every single heart and will hang them on our Tree.
On the last day before the Christmas Holidays, all the children will take a heart home to plant and all the rest will be distributed to the local council.
