Food for thought…
• WHAT will be done
Description:
Peta Primary School is actively participating in the European Week for Waste Reduction with the aim of raising awareness among students, teachers, and the local community about recycling and composting.
During the event, we will organize:
Informative events: In collaboration with the Municipality of Nikolaos Skoufas, we will organize informative meetings on composting and the proper use of recycling bins.
Creative activities: Students will participate in a series of creative activities, such as creating comics, posters, and artwork on the theme of recycling. Additionally, workshops will be organized for proper management of organic waste.
Food collection: We will collect organic waste from students’ homes, which we will show how they can be composted at school.
Community outreach: Informative leaflets and posters will be created and distributed to the local community, promoting recycling and composting.
Our goal is to:
Increase the recycling of organic materials at the school by 20% by the end of the school year.
Make our school a model school for sustainable development.
Inspire students to become ambassadors of recycling in their families and communities.
With everyone’s participation, we can create a cleaner and more sustainable future for our planet.
