1st Agios Dometios Primary School Waste Warriors: Reducing Waste Through Recycling and Food Management in Partnership with Schools from Greece and Cyprus
• WHAT will be done
Description:
The 2nd-grade students will engage in hands-on activities aimed at reducing waste, with a particular emphasis on recycling and managing food waste. These activities will be implemented as part of a collaborative initiative involving schools from Greece and Cyprus, conducted through the eTwinning project “Ecological Citizenship and Technological Creativity: A Journey into Literature and Space.”. By working together with their peers from different regions, students will explore the importance of environmental responsibility and sustainability. They will learn how to properly separate recyclable materials, minimize food waste, and discover creative ways to repurpose items. Through this cross-cultural exchange, students will not only develop a deeper understanding of waste management practices but also foster a sense of community and global citizenship. The project will provide an interactive learning experience, allowing children to share ideas and solutions with their international partners, enhancing both their environmental awareness and teamwork skills.
